Unreal Engine 5 has finally been released, and whilst professional and amateur developers move beyond early builds of the 3D creation tool, to get to grips with its full version, we thought we’d take another look at the tech demos out there. As before, the unparalleled realism, immersive lighting, and photo-realistic texture effects have us spellbound. It’s hard not to get too swept away by some of these demos, as it remains to be seen how the intricate environments demonstrated here will be incorporated into video games that’ll run smoothly at high framerates.

All these advancements in graphics and sounds. Mindboggling. Yet NPC in any game are still as lifeless and stupid as they were 30 years ago.
Whats wild is, I can already see younger folks a couple decades from now saying & making arguments that “video games look better than real life.”

I think MetaIsland is also worth looking into fellas. It's a survival game where you really need to participate in the game like shooting monsters or other players in order to keep the island alive! By the way, it's a multiplayer Metaverse Gamefi project. Note that this game is also built on UE5.

Honestly.....The more realistic computer games look, the more boring I find them.... call me a 40y old grandpa, but when I want to play a game, I want to play a game. When I play, I want to escape the real world and enjoy everything that isnt like reality. But....thats just me.
