Fast forward to today, and the V8 is being threatened by EPA emissions, forced induction, and the looming EV apocolypse. Check out my playlist of engine teardowns here: 🤍 In this video I teardown an engine from a 2007-2010 Lexus LS460 or GS460. After a carfax this is a 2008 GS460 Engine, from a wrecked car that went through the auction. Unfortunately it was so long ago I can't get any details other than it has more than 150K on it. This teardown went pretty smooth though I admit the headbolts were VERY tight, and being a triple square made getting them out in a timely fashion a bit challenging. Also, I didn't get catch it on video, but the missing bridge chain guide was in small pieces in the pickup, jammed around the corners. Its likely one of the causes for the oil starvation. Overall I really like the design of this engine, and I think they're pretty reliable considering there isn't a huge market for used engines... a telling sign of an engines reliability. When the normally hears or thinks about a V8 engine, almost always they're going to think of an American engine. After all, over the last 50 plus years, pretty much all US based performance cars are equipped with V8 engines. Obviously that's changing a bit with modern times, but the point still stands. With that in mind though, the US is not the only country to produce awesome V8 engines, so today we're going to flip the script on its head and look at the best Japanese V8 engines ever. There's some other engines from Japanese that I think are worth mentioning real quick, including the Toyota R36V which is an insane 3.6L V8 that outputs upwards of 1,000hp, the Toyota V which is Toyota's little known hemi V8 engine from the 1960s and we'll have a video on that soon, and the Mitsubishi 8A80. Алексей сам установил 1UR-FSE в свой GS300, и пока что на наш взгляд это эталон гаражного свапа. Никакой лапши и колхоза, подкапотка предельно аккуратно выглядит. Ну а мы поработали с прошивкой блока управления ДВС и оживили системы ABS/VSC/TRC. Всё сделали одним днём с предварительной подготовкой. Что из этого вышло и как это было - предлагаем посмотреть.

На связи #Китай #China - в работе побывал #Toyota #Crown #GRS184 для местного рынка - с левым рулем . 5GR заменили на #V8 4.6 #1URFSE , а моя часть работы - перепрограммирование блока управления #ECU для нормальной работы #TRC , #VSC , панели и климата.
