A video I took of Cloughjordan Railway Station where I boarded the 16.55 Limerick-Balybrophy train on 7.9.2020 and I filmed the scenery onboard this train between Cloughjordan and Roscrea. Cloughjordan Railway Station opened in 1864 and is one of 5 intermediate stations on the Limerick-Balybrophy railway line.

A video produced for the social innovation resilient communities grant application
When the history of the pandemic in 2020 is being told in future years, we'll probably forget that there were two big lockdowns. The first, from March until the end of the Summer and then on from the Autumn. The first period, I heard referred to, by one elderly woman as, "the Right Covid". Well, when the 'right Covid' was over, we had a brief opportunity to travel and I took that chance to head to Tipperary and Kerry. The reason for going to Tipperary was because a friend had seen the actor, Rose Henderson, performing on a beach in Dublin, during the 'right Covid'. Rose's website mentioned that she'd be doing a one-woman show in the Eco Village in Cloughjordan during the pause in Lockdown. I needed no other excuse to head to Cloughjordan - she's a great actor. Of course, as usual, there was more to be filmed than the main story and more stories to be heard: the smiley, handsome man campaigning for Irish vineyards, the warm, beautiful woman making the most of nettles and her two inventive and welcoming sons with their waterpark, among others. Enjoy. All the best, Ronan

Student short on a new eco-village development in Ireland.
Pat the Cloughjordan Farmer explains the importance of community involvement in farming, whether through residents of the ecovillages working with the day-to-day tasks, or having volunteers and WWOOFers come to help for a set period. It all helps bring life and soul to our food production while maintaining resilience and sustainability.

Please support this project at: 🤍 The "Cloughjordan to Palestine" is a local, community-based initiative that aims to raise awareness of the on-going impact of occupation on the Palestinian people, to carry out solidarity actions at a community level and to develop educational exchange programmes between communities in Palestine and our own community in North Tipperary. It is a grassroots initiative, and as such relies on the donations of individuals in our own community and elsewhere to support our projects and activities. Our “Palestine to Cloughjordan” project is a pilot project which will see Palestinian community activists, supported to come spend a period of time in the community and to exchange their experiences and skills, while also up-skilling in particular areas.. Costs raised will go directly towards travel, visa costs, food and accommodation, living costs and small contributions to activity costs while they are here. Our first candidate for the “Palestine to Cloughjordan” project, is Ala Hilo, a 33-year old from Bethlehem in the West Bank. Ala has spent the past few years trying to tackle Palestine’s waste problem through his own project RESIGN. RESIGN educates and transforms through waste – up-cycling seemingly useless materials into useful items and demonstrating the need for recycling in the West Bank. Ala would like to come to Cloughjordan to share his expertise in up-cycling, share his experiences of living in Palestine, and to learn about some of the unique initiatives taking place in the community which he hopes he can bring back home with him. This month-long placement will be his first opportunity to travel outside Palestine and Ireland has always been the place he most wanted to visit! Please support this project at : 🤍
Cloughjordan ecovillage es una aldea ecológica, como su nombre lo indica, creada intencionalmente en un barrio del pequeño pueblo de Cloughjordan, en Tipperary (Irlanda). Hace parte de la extensa red mundial G.E.N.
