Creds 🤍_dr.sara on TikTok To provide the best care possible for pregnant women and women who are expecting, it is important to have an Obstetrics/Gynecology Nurse Practitioner on staff. Obstetrics/gynecology(OB/GYN) nurse practitioners play an important role in ensuring that pregnant women have access to the best possible health care. They work closely with other members of the health team, including doctors, midwives, and nurses, to provide a complete range of services. This ensures that each pregnancy is handled in a personalized way that takes into account the unique needs of each woman. A nurse practitioner who specializes in OB/GYN is a highly skilled health professional who can provide primary care for women during pregnancy and childbirth. They are also well-trained to deal with a wide variety of other reproductive health issues, such as STD prevention and contraception. In addition to providing quality care, an OB/GYN nurse practitioner can play an important role in educating their patients about their health and the reproductive process. It’s important to have access to this type of expert care, so be sure to ask your physician if they recommend an OB/GYN purse practitioner for you or your loved ones. Obstetrician Gynecologist Dr. Danielle Jones (yes, I'm writing this about myself, stop judging me) answers your Myth vs Fact questions from Instagram. MYTH OR FACT - IN THIS EPISODE: A woman can only have a certain number of c-sections? Amniotic fluid is baby pee? Doctors are weird about delayed cord clamping? It is easier to heal from a natural tear than an episiotomy? Doctor are weird about delayed cord clamping? Literature is extremely varied on the topic of delayed cord clamping. 60s is generally considered delayed and 2-3+ “late.” There is like some benefit and minor risk to both. As with all things in medicine there is some gray area. What we do know is that immediate (Under 30s) clamping/cutting is usually not the most beneficial in the absence of some form of emergency.
