Russian soldiers leaped for their lives from a burning vehicle in Ukraine. The dramatic scene unfolded after a strike by a Ukrainian suicide drone. The vehicle in question was a 122mm ‘Carnation’ howitzer. Russian troops were preparing to fire it somewhere in Donetsk oblast. But as soon as it left its hiding place, it was struck by a drone. That sparked a fire, which forced the gun’s crew to bail out. Video shows men jumping for their lives from the burning vehicle. The gun is left to roll across a field, leaving a trail of fire behind. It is then hit by a second drone, which completely destroys it. First-person view, or FPV, drones are now common in Ukraine. They combine suicide drones with VR technology for extra accuracy. Vladimir Poutine poursuit sa guerre en Ukraine : la Russie a frappé la région d'Odessa dans la nuit de dimanche à lundi. Les autorités de cette région du sud de l'Ukraine ont dénombré 19 drones et 14 missiles et font état ce lundi matin d'une blessée et de dégâts infligés à une infrastructure portuaire. Moscou "a attaqué la région d'Odessa avec des drones offensifs et deux types de missiles", a expliqué sur Telegram le gouverneur Oleg Kiper, mentionnant plusieurs "frappes" dont l'attaque d'une "infrastructure portuaire". "Une civile a été blessée par une onde de choc", a-t-il ajouté, précisant que la victime avait été transférée à l'hôpital. Selon l'armée ukrainienne, la Russie a mené l'assaut avec 19 drones Shahed de fabrication iranienne, deux missiles supersoniques Onyx et 12 autres missiles Kalibr. Un sous-marin était également mobilisé, a affirmé la même source. La totalité des drones et 11 Kalibr ont été abattus par les défenses aériennes, a poursuivi l'armée, indiquant que la station balnéaire d'Odessa avait subi des dégâts "importants". Deux missiles Kalibr sur les 11 détruits l'ont été dans les régions de Mykolaïv (dans le sud) et Kirovograd (dans le centre), et la "grande majorité" au-dessus de celle d'Odessa, a dit l'armée. Laut der ukrainischen Luftwaffe wurde bei dem Angriff in der Nacht zum Dienstag zum wiederholten Mal der für den Getreideexport wichtige Donauhafen Ismajil getroffen. In der russischen Grenzregion Kursk waren derweil nach Behördenangaben nach einem ukrainischen Drohnenangriff mehrere Dörfer von der Stromversorgung abgeschnitten. Die ukrainische Luftwaffe erklärte, von insgesamt 38 von Russland gestarteten Drohnen des Typs Schahed aus iranischer Produktion seien 26 zerstört worden. Laut dem Gouverneur der Region Odessa, Oleh Kiper, wurde bei dem zweistündigen Angriff die "Hafeninfrastruktur im Bezirk Ismajil getroffen". Zwei Lkw-Fahrer wurden demnach verletzt, zudem seien ein Kontrollposten, Lagerhäuser und rund 30 Lastwagen beschädigt worden. Bereits am Montag hatte Russland die südukrainische Region Odessa massiv angegriffen. Seit Russlands Aufkündigung des Getreideabkommens für den Export ukrainischen Getreides über das Schwarze Meer Ende Juli haben die russischen Angriffe auf die ukrainische Getreideinfrastruktur und insbesondere auf den Donauhafen Ismajil zugenommen. Auf russischer Seite meldete der Gouverneur der grenznahen Region Kursk, Roman Starowojt, einen ukrainischen Angriff auf ein Umspannwerk. In sieben Ortschaften sei der Strom ausgefallen. Russland hatte im vergangenen Winter mit zahlreichen Angriffen die zivile Infrastruktur der Ukraine unter Beschuss genommen und so Ausfälle von Heizung, Strom- und Wasserversorgung verursacht. In der vergangenen Woche hatten erstmals seit sechs Monaten russische Marschflugkörper die Energieinfrastruktur in der Ukraine getroffen und zu Stromausfällen in mehreren Regionen geführt. Dem Verteidigungsministerium in Moskau zufolge zerstörte die russische Luftabwehr am Montagabend in der Grenzregion Belgorod mehrere ukrainische Drohnen. Darüber hinaus wehrte Russland nach eigenen Angaben nahe dem Flugplatz Belbek einen ukrainischen Raketenangriff auf die annektierte Halbinsel Krim ab. Der Kreml relativierte derweil die Bedeutung der von den USA an die Ukraine gelieferten Abrams-Kampfpanzer für den Kriegsverlauf. Diese seien zwar "ernstzunehmende Geschütze", sagte Kreml-Sprecher Dmitri Peskow. Sie würden aber "ebenfalls brennen". Mit einer ähnlichen Wortwahl hatte der russische Präsident Wladimir Putin vor Monaten bereits die Lieferung von Leopard-Kampfpanzern aus deutscher Produktion an die Ukraine kommentiert. Die Lieferung westlicher Kampfpanzer an die Ukraine werde den "eigentlichen Verlauf" des "militärischen Spezialeinsatzes" nicht beeinflussen, sagte Peskow. Kein Waffensystem könne das "Kräfteverhältnis auf dem Schlachtfeld" verändern. Einen Tag, nachdem die Ukraine die angebliche Tötung des Befehlshabers der russischen Schwarzmeerflotte gemeldet hatte, verbreitete Moskau am Dienstag Bilder von Admiral Viktor Sokolow bei einer von Verteidigungsminister Sergej Schoigu geleiteten Videokonferenz. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the five hundred seventy eighth day of the war. Day 578: Sep 24 Today, there are a lot of important updates from the southern line. First of all, more information became available about the Ukrainian attack on Novoprokoivka. As it turned out, the Ukrainian progress was bigger than expected. Previously, based on the footage of the fighting, it was confirmed that Ukrainians managed to push Russians away from the northern edge of the settlement. However, recently released footage by the Russian side shows that Ukrainians also entered the village from the northeast. The footage is tragic because a Russian soldier managed to get in the rear and kill 2 Ukrainian soldiers. Ukrainian military-affiliated sources circulated this footage to make sure that Ukrainian soldiers learn from this mistake. Nonetheless, the footage served as a testament that Ukrainians have expanded control over the region significantly. Last time, Russian artillery strikes on the northern part of the village confirmed that Ukrainians entered the first 2 streets from the north. By the way, the 2 Ukrainian soldiers from the video were located near these 2 buildings and were shooting in the direction of the 3rd and 4th streets, where Russians were located. But the fact that these 2 soldiers managed to get there means that Russians lost control over most, if not all, fields northeast of the settlement. First of all, it means that Russians no longer control the southern part of the small forest and the nearby tree line because this is where the Ukrainians came from. Secondly, Russians no longer control the tree lines behind the Ukrainians, otherwise, they would be shot from the back by snipers. It is important to note, that even though Russians no longer maintain a permanent presence in these areas, it doesn’t mean that Ukrainians established 100% control over them. However, it does mean that Ukrainians are capable of moving into these territories and conducting much deeper penetrations. And if we look at the topographic map, we can see that this is the part of the village that is the most important from the tactical perspective. The elevation allows Ukrainians to be in better control of the enemy movement. Recently released footage by the Ukrainian snipers that operate in the vicinity of Novoprokopivka clearly demonstrates the advantage. As it can be seen, the Ukrainian sniper is looking down on the field from the hills and easily spots Russian soldiers that stick out of shelters 1236 meters away. In order to facilitate further and easier advancement of the Ukrainian assault units in this direction, Ukrainian HIMARS crews conducted an extensive strike on the Russian bases and command centers in Tokmak. Russian sources reported that the strike lasted for an hour and a half. Multiple strikes on the same targets are made to ensure that Russian forces that are conducting rescue also get liquidated. The number of troops liquidated in subsequent strikes is usually higher when the target of the strike is a command center because Russian soldiers are ordered to rescue the officers from under the rubble. Speaking about the strikes on the Russian command centers, more information became available about the recent comprehensive strike on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. As revealed by the satellite footage from Planet Labs, the missiles demolished the northern part of the building and hit right in the center of the western part of the building. The Head of Ukrainian Intelligence reported that Ukrainians inflicted 25 losses on the Russian military personnel, including generals. More precisely, the head of the command center, lieutenant-general Oleg Tsekov, is in a coma, and, what is even more interesting, the commander of the Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region coloner-general Alexandr Romanchuk is severely injured. So, virtually simultaneous strikes on the Russian command centers from Tokmak and Melitopol to Sevastopol made sure that Ukrainians liquidated the whole chain of command – from low-level commanders located close to the contact line to medium-level in the middle, to high-level located in Sevastopol. This also explains why Ukrainians conducted the strikes during the day and not as usual at night. At first, it was surprising to see that the missiles were launched at noon, however, given that Ukrainians basically targeted offices, it is logical because everyone works in the office during the day.

Day 579: Sep 25 Today, there are a lot of important updates from the Tokmak direction. First of all, today, Russian sources admitted that Ukrainian forces advanced toward Novoprokopivka, established control over the last fields in front of the settlement, and entered the settlement itself. However, it was not the only settlement that Ukrainians finally entered in this direction. Today, it was finally confirmed that Ukrainians also entered Verbove and officially started the second big battle in this region. Recently released combat footage by the Russian side revealed how a Ukrainian armored fighting vehicle was exiting Verbove. Today, Ukrainian fighters from the 71st Brigade released a video showing how they were repelling a Russian counterattack after they successfully captured and cleared one more Russian trench network. Ukrainians managed to rebuff the attack and retain control over the newly captured positions, continuing the gradual but steady movement forward. Other Ukrainian fighters released a video where they tested a prototype of an anti-personnel mine-clearing drone. This drone would be useful for clearing the newly captured area from mines, especially the trails, to avoid losses when moving between friendly positions. Ukrainian drone operators published a video showing how they are conducting artillery preparation on the remaining section of the Russian defense line. The attacks imply that Ukrainians will continue conducting broad attacks to make sure to fix Russian troops along the front before penetrating the main direction. Today, Ukrainian drone operators also spotted a whole platoon of Russian tanks on the Ukrainian flanks. At first glance, it seemed like Russians were preparing for a heavy counterattack, however, when the drone operator zoomed in, he revealed that these were inflatable balloons in the form of tanks. As it turned out, Russian forces tried to create a semblance of readiness and possibly force Ukrainians to relocate additional forces to protect their flanks instead of pushing Russians out of Verbove. Some analysts claimed that the goal was to make Ukrainians use up their shells on false targets, but in this case, Russians did not put any effort into masking them in a believable enough way and just put them in the open so that Ukrainian reconnaissance teams notice them as soon as possible, and raise a false alarm. Unfortunately for Russians, it was a waste of time. In the meantime, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky finally confirmed that Abrams tanks arrived in Ukraine. He said that the Defense Ministry had already received the tanks and was preparing them for reinforcing brigades that are conducting the counteroffensive operation. And the modern western tanks make a huge difference on the front due to their advanced guns that have a range of 4 km, which allows these tanks to act like snipers. If a Ukrainian assault team faces difficulties with a particular fortification, it takes the tank about 8 minutes at maximum speed to get to the firing position and unload dozens of high-explosive shells while still being multiple km away from the target, minimizing the chances of getting detected. And this tactic proved to work, as the defenses are gradually breached, while losses of these tanks were reduced almost to zero.

Jüngst eingetroffene Abrams-Panzer sollen die Ukraine bei ihrer Gegenoffensive unterstützen. Selenskyj zeigt sich dankbar - und hofft auf weitere Waffen, die sein Land dringend braucht. Ein Überblick zum Geschehen in der Nacht und ein Ausblick auf den Tag. Kiew (dpa) - Nach dem Erhalt der ersten US-Panzer vom Typ Abrams hat sich der ukrainische Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj zuversichtlich mit Blick auf weitere Militärhilfen gezeigt. Die USA vereinbarten derweil einen Milliardenkredit für die Modernisierung des Militärs im EU-Land Polen, das an die Ukraine grenzt. In Sewastopol auf der von Russland annektierten Krim gab es erneut Explosionen, und Moskau meldete weitere ukrainische Drohnenangriffe im grenznahen Gebiet Kursk. Die Ukraine verteidigt sich seit nunmehr 19 Monaten gegen den russischen Angriffskrieg. Selenskyj: Brauchen mehr Waffensysteme, als wir derzeit haben «Wir arbeiten auch daran, alle anderen militärischen Fähigkeiten zu bekommen, die wir brauchen», sagte Selenskyj in seiner abendlichen Videoansprache am Montag. Dazu zählten Kampfflugzeuge vom Typ F-16, Flugabwehrsysteme sowie Langstreckenwaffen, fügte er hinzu. «Um unser gesamtes Staatsgebiet abzudecken brauchen wir mehr Systeme, als wir derzeit haben.» Die Ukraine hofft unter anderem auf Taurus-Marschflugkörper aus Deutschland. Bislang gibt es aus Berlin allerdings keine Zusage. Früher am Tag hatte der Staatschef bekannt gegeben, dass die ersten Abrams-Panzer in der Ukraine eingetroffen seien. Insgesamt haben die Vereinigten Staaten die Übergabe von 31 Kampfpanzern an das von Russland angegriffene Land angekündigt. USA vereinbaren Milliardenkredit für Polens Militär-Modernisierung Die USA trafen unterdessen eine Vereinbarung über einen Milliardenkredit zur Modernisierung des polnischen Militärs. Das US-Außenministerium gab bekannt, Polen solle ein Direktdarlehen in Höhe von zwei Milliarden US-Dollar (1,89 Milliarden Euro) erhalten. «Polen ist ein treuer Verbündeter der Vereinigten Staaten, und Polens Sicherheit ist für die kollektive Verteidigung der Ostflanke der Nato von entscheidender Bedeutung», hieß es zur Begründung. Polen arbeitet angesichts des Krieges im Nachbarland Ukraine und der Bedrohung durch Russland daran, das eigene Militär aufzurüsten. Moskau: Erneute Drohnenangriffe im Grenzgebiet Kursk Die russische Luftabwehr hat offiziellen Angaben zufolge am späten Montagabend insgesamt vier ukrainische Drohnenangriffe über dem Gebiet Kursk nahe der ukrainischen Grenze abgewehrt. Zwei Drohnen seien gegen 22.30 Uhr Ortszeit (21.30 Uhr MESZ) zerstört worden, zwei weitere etwa eine halbe Stunde später, teilte das russische Verteidigungsministerium in Moskau in der Nacht zum Dienstag bei Telegram mit. Das Ministerium sprach von vereitelten Terroranschlägen. Die Angaben ließen sich nicht unabhängig prüfen. Bereits am Sonntag war die Gebietshauptstadt Kursk mit Drohnen angegriffen worden. Eine soll das Gebäude des russischen Inlandsgeheimdienstes FSB getroffen haben, eine zweite eine Ölraffinerie, wie Medien in Kiew unter Berufung auf den ukrainischen Militärgeheimdienst meldeten. Das Gebiet Kursk teilte offiziell mit, eine Drohne habe geringen Schaden am Dach eines Verwaltungsgebäudes angerichtet. Moskau hat in den vergangenen Wochen immer wieder von ukrainischen Drohnenangriffen berichtet. Diese stehen allerdings in keinem Verhältnis zu den massenhaften Attacken Russlands in seinem Angriffskrieg gegen das Nachbarland. Explosionen in Sewastopol - angeblich «kontrollierte Sprengung» Nach dem ukrainischen Angriff auf das Hauptquartier der russischen Schwarzmeerflotte gab es auf der von Moskau annektierten Schwarzmeer-Halbinsel Krim erneut Explosionen. Nach Angaben des russischen Besatzungschefs des Gebiets, Michail Raswoschajew, soll es sich um eine «kontrollierte Sprengung» am schwer beschädigten Gebäude in der Stadt Sewastopol gehandelt haben. Selon l'Ukraine, l'amiral Viktor Sokolov, chargé du commandement de la flotte russe en Mer Noire, aurait été tué vendredi lors des frappes de Kiev sur son quartier général à Sébastopol, en Crimée. L'information, ni confirmée ni infirmée par Moscou, n'a pu être vérifiée pour le moment. Dans tous les cas, le Kremlin ne communique presque jamais si des militaires russes sont tués durant la guerre, y compris lorsqu'il s'agit de hauts responsables. Quelques mois après l'invasion russe de l'Ukraine, Viktor Sokolov est nommé à la tête de la flotte russe en mer Noire durant l'été 2022 par le ministre de la Défense, Sergueï Choïgou. Il remplace alors l'amiral Igor Ossipov, sans qu'aucune justification officielle ne soit donnée après cette arrivée. Mais à l'époque, les troupes navales de la région subissent d'importantes pertes. En avril, le naufrage du Moskva, un navire militaire russe frappé par des missiles ukrainiens en avril 2022, avait pu fragiliser la position de l'état-major local en place. Si la mort de Viktor Sokolov se confirmait, elle constituerait le décès du haut-gradé le plus important depuis le début du conflit ukrainien. Vendredi, la Russie avait fait seulement état d'un militaire porté disparu après l'attaque qui a fortement endommagé le siège de la flotte russe de la mer Noire.
