Adobe, the National Cyber Security Alliance, and Speechless have partnered to bring you a series of security awareness videos. A total of eight videos will be released between November 2019 - October 2020. Security Awareness Episode 6 covers “vishing” which is defined as the fraudulent practice of making phone calls or leaving voice messages purporting to be from reputable companies in order to trick individuals to reveal personal information, such as bank details and credit card numbers.

El Vishing es una técnica que utilizan los ciberdelincuentes, intentan engañarnos por teléfono para que les demos información privada, nombres de usuario, contraseñas, números de tarjetas de crédito... A menudo también utilizan una técnica llamada Spoofing mediante la que se engaña al identificador de llamada de la víctima, para que la víctima crea que le están llamado desde un número de teléfono concreto. Avete mai sentito parlare di Vishing? Ecco un’altra truffa che mette a rischio il patrimonio dei consumatori. Si tratta di una truffa che arriva al consumatore tramite un contatto telefonico. Il consumatore riceve una telefonata che lo avverte di un cyber-attacco sul suo conto bancario o della clonazione della carta di credito. A quel punto l’interlocutore al telefono, fingendosi un addetto nella banca, chiede al consumatore altri dati, ad esempio l’OTP (cioè la password temporanea per eseguire le operazioni) o i 3 numeri che sono sul retro della carta di credito. Qualche consumatore purtroppo consegna questi dati al telefono, la truffa è fatta e sembrerebbe che la posizione dell’utente sia indifendibile. Invece, recentemente, l’Arbitro Bancario e Finanziario (ABF) ha revisionato un suo precedente orientamento decidendo di condannare la banca a rimborsare l’importo indebitamente sottratto al consumatore. C'est en réalité un escroc à l'autre bout du fil, capable de détourner des milliers d'euros en quelques minutes. La manipulation psychologique est ici le seul moyen utilisé pour permettre au fraudeur d’obtenir les informations dont il a besoin. Pour passer au travers des maillages de sécurité, le fraudeur convainc son interlocuteur de lui transmettre son identifiant bancaire pour valider son identité et stopper une transaction fictive, identifiant dont il se sert pour changer le mot de passe et générer l’envoi d’un code de sécurité sur le téléphone de son interlocuteur prétextant vouloir mettre un terme à la fraude en cours.
