Coding Interviews are Broken

Algorithm style coding interviews are very common in the tech industry, but they are a crappy method to evaluate candidates. Might work well for FANG (Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, Google), but the rest of the tech companies are throwing away valid applicants. Follow me online: 🤍 #benawad

Competitive Programming: How to Approach a Problem (as a red coder)

I detail a general strategy for how to attack competitive programming problems - for example, on Codeforces, CodeChef, and interview sites. When I do screencasts and stuff, this process sort of happens automatically for me (especially for easy problems), and I get that it can be kind of hard to follow. So this video should both describe what's happening during screencasts and give you a strategy to use. OF COURSE it's not the only strategy, but it's one to consider. Um_nik's blog: 🤍
