The PlayStation Showcase is over for another year and overall it was a VERY strong showcase in my opinion, however the PSVR 2 games on display feel like they have left a few people disappointed. Expectations were high as this was the first chance to showcase new PSVR 2 games after launch just a few months ago, many VR enthusiasts (myself included) felt like we might get a few big surprises at this showcase but what we actually got was 6 PSVR 2 games and 4 of them we already knew about... The quality of these games however is fairly undeniable, they all looked stunning, Resident Evil 4 PSVR 2 / Resident Evil 4 Remake VR was my absolute favourite but it's safe to say each of the games shown look like day one purchases for me. It would've been great to see Sony really showcasing something big and impactful for PSVR 2 at this showcase, a game that could draw in the masses, perhaps a large established Sony IP adding VR support (Spidey? Killzone? Motorstorm? Metal Gear) but instead we received updates to four games we already knew about and reveals for two new ones... Let me know what your overall Playstation Showcase reaction was, were you happy with the new PSVR 2 games on display or would you liked to have seen more? Either way, if you're a fan of videogames in general this showcase no doubt had plenty to keep most people happy. I want more first party PSVR2 games. Sony made big promises for PSVR2 and so far there's only 1 first party PSVR2 game. A Ratchet and Clank VR game would be 🔥.
Great honest video. I certainly hope Sony HAVE to bring more original or revamped PSVR best sellers to PSVR2 in time for autumn for the crucial Xmas period if they’re pushing this

Nice one mate, looking forward to RE4, but was disappointed that once again Sony seem to be leaning on 3rd parties to prop up their platform. If bedroom coders can drop these amazing flat screen VR mods why can’t Sony? I think something like Last of us VR makes sense, the game is complete only VR mechanics would need to be developed, it’s a hugely successful franchise in the zeitgeist at the moment due to the TV series, I think it would bring a lot of new people to the platform.
Besides re4 remake in VR I didn’t really see anything that I am very interested in playing.

I feel like psvr2 games was a HUGE letdown, Ive been thinking of getting a psvr2 but it doesnt inspire confidence that psvr2 will be getting plenty of games and support especially since it relased a few months ago and doesnt have much variety in games imo
It annoys the hell out of me seeing so many first person games like Immortals of Aveum which looks exactly like a perfect PSVR2 game, but they don't make a VR version of it. Sony could make a badass emulator like VORPX. That would solve all their problems.
I’m not thrilled about the psVR2 relate line up . All the games are the same , shoot ‘em up with similar game play. I would hope they understand PSVR2 can do more than just that. Personally I would love to have a free roaming PSVR2 game that takes advantage of free roam in a world , kind of like a sandbox world where you can do multiple things and visually relax and or skydive , drive , ride a roller coaster or just throw a ball to a dog lol …..
Cmon Benji that was pathetic. Arizona Sunshine 2 is also coming out on PCVR. Nothing to entice someone like me with PCVR (and Quest 2) to buy a PS5 and PSVR2 ! I wanted to see awesome AAA exclusives for PSVR2, didn't get any
Held off playing re4 remake until we knew if the whole game would be in VR. Looks really good. Synapse is also looking really interesting to me, and crossfire sierra squad also looks a good time.
Would I have liked to see more? Of course, but I went in with low expectations and I wasn't dissapointed.
If sony wants to convert the naysayers though, they need to get out of first gear. As much as WE know that synapse is probably going to be awesome, most flat players arent interested. Games like horizon gt7 and resident evil are the ones that need to be pushed if they want to grow their install base.
