Man so many people were hyped for some big psvr2 support, not just a "mode" and more zombie games. I want some more proper sci-fi like Red Matter 2 (not horror sci-fi). Hope Sony steps it up because I love this hmd.

I would have at least expected Sony to announce a slew of remastered or enhanced PSVR titles, since there’s a substantial library already there on PSN. And no Half-Life Alyx is a real omission. Outside of RE4 VR-mode (work in progress…) VR-wise it was rather half in the bag. Luckily at the moment I’m relishing the pure marvel that is Red Matter 2, but I do hope PSVR 2 gets better support towards the holiday season…
I’m enjoying my headset and have plenty of games I’m looking forward to (including RE4 and Synapse), but I am starting to suspect Sony doesn’t have big first-party plans that it is simply holding back. Seems like 2-3 AAA titles per year will indeed be the pattern, and one of those will always be an RE game.
For everyone fretting about Half Life alyx. Half Life Alyx is most definitely coming. Sony negotiated a deal with valve shortly before PSVR 2 release. Valve doesn't Half ass their games. So no time to develop the game for 2023 release. Expect it in 2024 at the earliest.
I am disappointed but… given the lack of Sony 1st party titles we know are deep into production and yet not shown, there’s hope some 1st party VR is also being kept for some later event, gamesfest maybe?

Never wanted to stab myself in the taint more than I did when I watched this showcase. Mindblowingly bad.
Remember back in the day when Sony showed off a year or two of games during their E3 event? Yesterday they showed off the next few months of indie games.. We have no indication that there's anything cool on the horizon. Most of the games they showed we already knew about.. 3 out of 7 games were horror games...
Also, Arizona Sunshine 2 isn't actual gameplay.. Temper your expectations, this is a quest game ported to PSVR2. It's not going to look anywhere near as good as the trailer.

Well that was so underwhelming with regards to psvr2.
To be fair, even the flat side was dissapointing. Ff16 we had already seen, for me Spiderman 2 didnt look all that great and most of the showcase consisted of similar looking games and cartoon crap. (Who the hell bought a next gen system to play those basic cartoon games!!)
I'm not saddened by any of this news. PSVR 2 is the best VR experience imo and Arizona sunshine 2 re4 and Sierra squad look awesome. Still playing Pavlov and gt7 until then.
I LOVED the showcase! Many great games! Not all of them are VR but who cares atleast we arnt on xbox rofl.. it could be much worse! It was a good conference for PS5 but 5 minutes only for PSVR2, only one new game announced which is not even a first party nor an exclusive and without actual gameplay footage, not even a release date for RE4, not even a sizzle to show all the games in developpement to the general audience...
Damn! I didn't expect much but they managed to disappoint me.
The message is clear: it's a niche market and Sony won't bother supporting it and let this to the third parties like they did with the Vita, and it won't help the market growing faster...
I mean, I love my PSVR2, already played more than 20 games on it and didn't play any flat game since its release. It's a great product with so much potential and games like Red Matter 2 show us that we ain't seen anything yet.
But if I didn't have the headset and was waiting to see Sony's support before investing 600 euros in it, which is the case of most PS5 players right now, this showcase definitively wouldn't convince me to do so.
Thinking of what they said about new first and third party exclusives coming for PS5 and PSVR2, it's almost laughable...
We didn't even had a glimpse of the new Astro Bot and Studio London is working on a flat game... It says long about what we can expect from Sony :/
Hope that the third parties continue to support it with some great games like Resident Evil or Red Matter 2.

Let's face it. We have all bought a psvr 2 to play maybe one or 2 big games a year. This is nothing compared to what was promised.
I wasn't expecting much from the showcase...but what VR was shown..yea more is always good
