You can also get lots of Android widgets on your homescreen Cannot use work horse apps like Adobe Permiere Pro, Creo, etc. ALSO BETTER FOR WORKING ON THE GO Has GPS Sort of has 5G Pretty solid battery life Lighter and thinner than most laptops This has IP68 Water Resistance!!! Durable Gorilla Glass Victus+ display If you are traveling, you could always run remote desktop via the tablet and use a big machine back home Keyboard case is nice but has no trackpad. Sound Quality I just reviewed the Sony SM5’s, Bose Ultras, and Jabra Elite 10s. All of which are 3-4x more expensive than this so I need to keep that in mind when discussing the audio quality There are no blatant issues I see with the sound quality for this price. It makes sense and I think most people would enjoy these To describe them in more detail, however, Warm basslines in Bob Don by Goose A bit bloated with mid bass making vocals slightly less pronounced This leads to weak instrument separation Lacks details in the snares Overall pretty fun, lively with boosted bass and although they lack detail, I think they make up for that with better ANC and mics than I would expect at this price ANC Surprisingly good for this price! ADDITIONAL REVIEW NOTES: The Galaxy watch6 classic came out one month ago and in the first month, there was a lot of noise and a lot of excitement surrounding this new smartwatch with it’s elegant rotating bezel and premium design. There were a lot of very positive reviews, and I myself said it could bery well be the best android smartwatch of the year Now that it has been 1 month, it is time to set the spec sheets aside and see how this watch actually performs under daily use. I have been wearing this watch every day since it came out and I found a lot of things that were not mentioned in original reviews as well as some changes that have been made. In this video, I want to share with you what I found to be the most annoying setbacks, the in depth accuracy testing, and the most positive features that you might not notice when you first put the watch on PRO The larger display is so nice, especially for workouts CON Ending workouts is a pain Samsung needs to reprogram buttons during a workout. Annoying to end a workout You can press and hold the bottom button to pause the workout though What about laps? What about stopping? PRO You can add multiple workouts and string them together with the + icon GPS locks quickly The trick - change settings! PRO Despite being the classic variant, it is more durable for sports than the active Super durable - sapphire crystal display, stainless steel casing plus button guard Button guard is essential in preventing accidental presses CON This has a new chip inside that is technically a bit faster, but I still find some significant lag, especially with tiles PRO Google integration is amazing Google Assistant brings this watch to the next level I tend to use Google maps a lot on my wrist when biking or riding a scooter SPEAKER TEST PRO Comfortable for sleep CON I charge overnight so I never wear this to bed I tried for a few nights and I slept well, so I guess the infrared LEDs worked Pretty difficult to verify the sleep accuracy PRO Quick release strap is not the easiest to use, but wayyy better than before! The watch transfer function is so nice! I switched phones multiple times I regret not having the silver one Battery life TESTED With AOD, I get about 1.5 days With just gesture only, I get about 2 days I really use this watch for four things Time/Date/Weather Fitness tracking Notifications Google Assistant - very fast! A huge improvement over previous years ACCURACY I wouldn’t wager much on the body composition Sleep tracking is hard to validate Marginally better than years past but still inaccurate No multiband GPS The new track run sport mode is a game changer! Except it tends to learn the track at an offset This watch is clearly designed to be an everyday smartwatch and ideal for casual walking or treadmill usage. If you are serious about training, this is just too inaccurate. You cannot reliably train for a triathlon or any distance/time/heart rate goal with this watch. CONCLUSION This is probably the nicest looking and feeling smartwatches on the market. But you need to ask yourself why you are getting a watch? If it is for style, notifications, light health tracking, or just as an extension of your phone, then this is the best Android watch to get. Or if you just listen to other genres Sony has extremely capable bass - bass heads will love these, but you can also EQ them to reduce that Sony has “clearbass” boost feature Sony has less prominent highs, like anything above 5000hz or so sounds less pronounced, which people often describe as “closed” and lends to less perceived clarity This is pretty mild Bose has more hihat detail while Sony hihats can be a bit eclipsed by basslines Bose has a lot of detail and lots of attack on snares Keep in mind, I lifted treble and dropped bass on Bose. It is clearly improved across the entire spectrum but especially in the vocal range. When I saw that the spec sheet checked nearly every box on my “perfect earbuds” list, I had to check them out. These have LDAC, an incredible battery life, multipoint connectivity, and unlike their predecessor the regular Liberty 4’s, these have powerful ANC which should resolve one of the biggest problems with those buds. So let’s get into it FEATURES Google fastpair Fit test Battery = 8/40 hrs with ANC Extremely customizable touch controls Safe volume limiter Wind reduction Extra low latency gaming mode Auto play/pause Mono mode with Bluetooth 5.3 Sound leak compensation Multipoint connectivity Find device (jut plays a sound) Select auto power off period DESIGN Fit = I am picky and these stayed in my ears well Besides ab workout Colors = 5 different options Physical button is a drawback, but has a light which looks cool and is more secure for drops Wireless charging = ? Comfort = 4 different tip sizes, very very comfortable for me. I barely notice them in my ears Water resistance = IPX4 MIC TEST ANC Adaptive ANC 2.0 Claimed 98.5% sound reduction (but ears sort of work on a log scale) Design includes a noise isolating chamber - not sure how unique this is but ok Wind noise reduction option SOUND CODECS = LDAC 11mm driver Lots of sound settings including 3d surround sound, HearID custom EQ, actual custom EQ, and tons of presets It takes 10s to switch to LDAC Very warm and bassy Bass can be big and deep but generally more boomy and not that tight or puchy. I personally do not like the default Soundcore Signature EQ at all. Muddy and vocals are downed out Bass is sort of mushy Highs seem to lack detail Instrument separation is weak I won’t talk about the EQ too much because there are so many EQ options to customize. But I will talk about the general struggle to find a good eq Kind of tough to EQ to a good place I tried the intelligent test. I could hear every beep so that was useless and then the end result was not actually a great EQ Overall I am not really impressed by the sound quality here Definitely not natural or articulate These would be decent for workouts when I am ok with a big muddy bass. Not my favorite sounding buds, but if you love the features and specs and are not a big person, you can get used to this sound and thoroughly enjoy these earbuds As far as a spec sheet is concerned, these check all the boxes for any pair of earbuds in 2023. Pros: Great ANC great features multipoint connectivity great customization in a nice app CONS: Sound Case has a physical button Overall I am sure anyone who buys these would be quite happy with them. So if you want the best earbuds at the best price but do not care about sound, these are the perfect pair for you. If you care a lot about sound, check out Sennheiser’s budget buds.
