#mysql #workbench #windows10 #ubuntu #dbbackups #mysqlbackup #dbrestore #mysqlrestore #ismailrana How To Backup and Restore MySQL databases using Workbench and Commands in Ubuntu / Windows 10. Command: mysql -u [user] -p [password] myrso_dev [database_name] [less than sign] path of file + filename.sql Back Up from the Command-Line with mysqldump The mysqldump client utility can dump a database including the SQL statements required to rebuild the database. By default, the dump file includes the SQL commands to restore the tables and data. To back up your MySQL database, the general syntax is: sudo mysqldump -u [user] -p [database_name] greater than sing [filename].sql Replace [user] with your username and password (if needed). The [database_name] is the path and filename of the database. [filename] is the path and filename you want to save the dump file as. How to Restore MySQL with mysqldump Step 1: Create New Database On the system that hosts the database, use MySQL to create a new database. Make sure you’ve named it the same as the database you lost. This creates the foundation file that mysqldump will import the data into. Since the dump file has the commands to rebuild the database, you only need to create the empty database. Step 2: Restore MySQL Dump To restore a MySQL backup, enter: mysql -u [user] -p [database_name] less than sing [filename].sql Make sure to include [database_name] and [filename] in the path. It’s likely that on the host machine, [database_name] can be in a root directory, so you may not need to add the path. Make sure that you specify the exact path for the dump file you’re restoring, including server name (if needed). Using phpMyAdmin to Back Up or Restore MySQL If you’re running phpMyAdmin backing up and restoring your MySQL database is simple. The export function is used as a backup, and the import function is used to restore. Step 1: Create a MySQL Database Backup 1. Open phpMyAdmin. On the directory tree on the left, click the database you want to back up. This should open the directory structure in the right-hand window. You’ll also notice that, in the directory tree on the left, all the assets under the main database are highlighted. 2. Click Export on the menu across the top of the display. You’ll see a section called “Export Method.” Use Quick to save a copy of the whole database. Choose Custom to select individual tables or other special options. Leave the Format field set to SQL, unless you have a good reason to change it. 3. Click Go. If you select Quick, your web browser will download a copy of the database into your specified downloads folder. You can copy that to a safe location. Step 2: Clear the Old Database Information It’s important to clear out old data before restoring a backup. If there’s any old data, it isn’t overwritten when you restore. This can create duplicate tables, causing errors and conflicts. 1. Open phpMyAdmin, on the navigation pane on the left, choose the database you want to restore. 2. Click the check all box near the bottom. Then, use the drop-down menu labeled With selected to select Drop. 3. The tool should prompt you to confirm that you want to go forward. Click yes. This will get rid of all the existing data, clearing the way for your restoration. 1. On the menu across the top, click Import. 2. The first section is labeled File to import. A couple of lines down, there’s a line that starts with “Browse your computer,” with a button labeled Choose File. Click that button. 3. Use the dialog box to navigate to the location where you’ve saved the export file that you want to restore. Leave all the options set to default. (If you created your backup with different options, you can select those here.) 4. Click Go. how to import and export database in MySQL workbench 6.0 lets see how to create backup of data base using mysql workbeanch 6.0
Learn Database Export and Import using MySQL Workbench. Open MySQL Workbench and logged in to MySQL database server using 'root' username and password. In previous couple of videos we learned how to Create, Alter, Drop Databases and Tables and also how to Insert, Read, Update, Delete data rows using MySQL Workbench. In this lecture we will learn how to Export and Import the database using MySQL Workbench. First of all to Export the databases or tables, from top menu 'Server' select 'Data Export' Option, which opens a new window of data export settings and options. The left section on the window displays all the existing databases on our MySQL database server. When we select a database by clicking on it, it displays all the respected tables under the selected database. We can select one or multiple database check-boxes to include the database in the Export file. Under 'Export Options' section, You can change the default export path of you choice. I'll keep the default one. By selecting first option that is 'Export to Dump Project Folder'. MySQL Workbench will save the save all tables as separate SQL file under one folder. Which is useful when you will be importing or restoring the export file one by one table. I'll go ahead quickly and first save as 'Export to Dump Project Folder', MySQL Workbench displays the progress bar and log. Now, I'll again export the database using 'Export to Self-contained File' option. To demonstrate the import first I'll delete the existing 'students' table under 'mytestdb' database. Display database details by clicking on 'i' symbol, select 'tables' tab. Select and right click 'students' table, and click 'Drop Table' option, confirm and delete the table. Click 'refresh' to update the tables section and we have no table in our 'mytestdb' database. Now select the database and from 'data import' window, select 'import from dump folder. 'Load folder contents' and select only 'mytestdb' database and click start import button to import 'students' table again. Go to 'mytestdb' database information window again and click 'refresh' button to reload table list again. and the 'students' table is back. To download WWB6, go to 🤍 Hey this is Sam from Shure. In this video tutorial, I’ll cover a Frequency Coordination preference that lets Wireless Workbench automatically calculate backup frequencies. When performing Frequency Coordination, some users will often calculate additional frequencies beyond those they necessarily need for each one of their channels in use. These backup frequencies can be used during a production if any one of the live RF channels happens to encounter interference. In my frequency coordination tab down below you’ll notice I have two frequencies for PSM 1000, and two frequencies for Axiom Digital already selected. When I use the calculator to calculate these four frequencies, it finds them easily. And if I had four channels to correspond with each of these four frequencies, I could be done if I wanted to be; however, what I’d like to do is calculate some extra frequencies for each of these systems, just in case interference arises. Now what I can do is manually add backup frequencies for each of these systems by right-clicking and choosing to add backup frequencies this way or using the add frequencies form down below. But instead what I’d like to do is let Wireless Workbench find as many backup frequencies for each of these systems as it possibly can. To do that I’ll go to the coordination preferences by selecting this gear and enabling the automatically calculate backup frequencies preference by checking this checkbox. Now when I enable that preference what happens is the next time I calculate, first things first the calculator will find the frequencies that I asked for, those primary frequencies. But then as you’ll notice down below, Wireless Workbench will continue to basically fill the spectrum, calculating as many additional backup frequencies as it can find. This may find more backup frequencies than you actually need, but that’s okay. What you can do is when you’re happy with the number backup frequencies that were found, you can stop the calculation, preview the frequencies that you like. If you want to get rid of some you can by just deleting them. And now you’ve get these backup frequencies that are ready to use. If you wanted to deploy these frequencies to your devices and have the spectrum manager that you may have on your network manages these backup frequencies, that can all be down with the sign of deploy. But the auto backup, the automatically calculated preference is a helpful way to quickly fine however many backup frequencies are available in the given spectrum environment.
